The Light + Aram Shelton
This trio of young and talented musicians published their first album in 2008 and immediately amazed the critics and listeners.
Wacław Zimpel - a clarinet, bass clarinet player and composer. His inspirations come from such musicians as: Eric Dolphy, John Coltrane, Ornette Coleman, Jimmy Giuffre, Anton Webern, Igor Strawiński. Zimpel takes part in different projects: MIKOŁAJ TRZASKA QUARTET, TRZASKA/ ZIMPEL/ DYS, CLARINET SUMMIT with Theo Jorgensmannem and Oleś Brothers. He also performs solo and chamber music.
Robert Rasz - a drummer; he studies on Music Academy in Katowice (Poland). Rasz performs with many bands such as: Emergency, Raalya, Kadabra and also with great solo artists: Gabriela Kulka, Piotr Rodowicz, Mikołaj Trzaska, Piotr Cieślikowski and Marcin Małecki.
Wojciech Traczyk - a double bass player; member of a band called Muzykoterapia.
Aram Shelton - lives in California; a composer, saxophonist and clarinet player. Shelton performs with the biggest on improvised scene in USA: Ken Vandermark, Steve Bernstein, Rob Mazurek, Fred Frith, Guillermo Gregorio or Jon Raskin. In Poland he is known from cooperation with Dragons 1976.
